Racing to Zero Returns to Russia!

At the invitation of the US State Department in cooperation with Russian environmental groups, cultural and educational institutions, journalists and students, Racing to Zero returns to Russia. From January 30 through February 13. Christopher Beaver travels with the film to Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, and Vladivostok. Here’s a picture from Racing to Zero’s earlier visit to Russia last February, Racing to Zero was featured at the EcoCup Environmental Film Festival in Moscow and traveled on to St. Petersburg and Saratov. In Saratov on the Volga River, Sergei Ulyanov hosted Christopher and introduced him to the pictured group of Russian environmental filmmakers, Christopher in the center with glasses. Saratov is home to a private waste collection company that separates and recycles household garbage. The hope expressed throughout Racing to Zero and echoed by enthusiastic audiences in Russia is that if we all work together we can solve the environmental problems that affect both countries and the world. That’s our shared hope.
